Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Glass, Other Electronic and Computers & Peripherals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were BizLink Holding Inc (TW:3665), which rose 9.98% or 56.00 points to trade at 617.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Aurotek Corp (TW:6215) added 9.91% or 10.50 points to end at 116.50 and Favite Inc (TW:3535) was up 9.85% or 4.70 points to 52.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mospec Semiconductor Corp (TW:2434), which fell 3.96% or 1.25 points to trade at 30.35 at the close. Chia Ta World Co Ltd (TW:2033) declined 3.66% or 0.85 points to end at 22.35 and Paiho Shih Holdings Corp (TW:8404) was down 3.64% or 1.00 points to 26.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Mospec Semiconductor Corp (TW:2434) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.96% or 1.25 to 30.35. Shares in Aurotek Corp (TW:6215) rose to all time highs; rising 9.91% or 10.50 to 116.50.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.50% or 0.38 to $76.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $80.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 12.05 to trade at $2,743.85 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.02% to 32.68, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 108.26.
