Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Glass, Transport and Textile sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Unitech Printed Circuit Board Corp (TW:2367), which rose 10.00% or 1.70 points to trade at 18.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Harvatek Corp (TW:6168) added 9.98% or 2.00 points to end at 22.05 and Taimide Tech Inc (TW:3645) was up 9.98% or 6.20 points to 68.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kinsus Interconnect Technology Corp (TW:3189), which fell 9.89% or 7.20 points to trade at 65.60 at the close. Lemtech Holdings Co Ltd (TW:4912) declined 8.55% or 13.00 points to end at 139.00 and Darfon Electronics Corp (TW:8163) was down 7.76% or 2.50 points to 29.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 463 to 313 and 103 ended unchanged.

Shares in Kinsus Interconnect Technology Corp (TW:3189) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.89% or 7.20 to 65.60. Shares in Taimide Tech Inc (TW:3645) rose to all time highs; up 9.98% or 6.20 to 68.30.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.65% or 0.38 to $57.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.44% or 0.28 to hit $63.45 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 5.10 to trade at $1277.20 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.05% to 30.022, while TWD/CNY fell 0.09% to 0.2203.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 93.14.
