Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Information Services, Computers & Peripherals and Electronic Products Distribution sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, ITE Tech Inc (TW:3014) added 9.85% or 13.50 points to end at 150.50 and Alchip Technologies Ltd (TW:3661) was up 9.80% or 215.00 points to 2,410.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ALi Corp (TW:3041), which fell 39.85% or 13.08 points to trade at 19.75 at the close. Chien Kuo Construction Co Ltd (TW:5515) declined 20.18% or 5.54 points to end at 21.90 and GeoVision Inc (TW:3356) was down 10.86% or 7.56 points to 62.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.60% or 0.43 to $72.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.69% or 0.52 to hit $75.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 10.40 to trade at $2,665.90 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.24% to 32.27, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.23% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 104.82.
