Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Rubber, Other Electronic and Auto sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted added 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Bonny Worldwide Ltd (TW:8467), which rose 10.00% or 2.50 points to trade at 27.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Enterex International Ltd (TW:1592) added 9.96% or 2.45 points to end at 27.05 and Tung Kai Technology Engineering Co Ltd (TW:3018) was up 9.92% or 3.15 points to 34.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BES Engineering Co (TW:2515), which fell 7.39% or 0.60 points to trade at 7.52 at the close. Yageo Corp (TW:2327) declined 7.09% or 24.00 points to end at 314.50 and Unimicron Technology Corp (TW:3037) was down 5.17% or 1.25 points to 22.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 465 to 331 and 112 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.27% or 0.14 to $51.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.55% or 0.33 to hit $60.48 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1250.40 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.13% to 30.820, while TWD/CNY fell 0.18% to 0.2233.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 97.047.
