Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Rubber, Optoelectronic and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Advancetek Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:1442) added 10.00% or 6.50 points to end at 71.50 and Bestec Power Electronics Co Ltd (TW:3308) was up 10.00% or 2.35 points to 25.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Onano Industrial Corp (TW:6405), which fell 9.92% or 4.90 points to trade at 44.50 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Chia Ta World Co Ltd (TW:2033) was down 6.70% or 1.80 points to 25.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.12% or 0.08 to $67.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $71.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 16.60 to trade at $2,586.70 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.25% to 32.56, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 106.64.
