Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Trading & Consumer Goods, Rubber and Cement sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Career Technology MFG Co Ltd (TW:6153), which rose 9.89% or 3.55 points to trade at 39.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Gold Circuit Electronics Ltd (TW:2368) added 8.35% or 0.76 points to end at 9.86 and Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) was up 8.28% or 0.24 points to 3.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharmally International Holding Co Ltd (TW:6452), which fell 9.95% or 28.50 points to trade at 258.00 at the close. ChipMOS Technologies (TW:8150) declined 9.62% or 2.15 points to end at 20.20 and Chilisin Electronics Corp (TW:2456) was down 9.54% or 7.50 points to 71.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 442 to 358 and 107 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pharmally International Holding Co Ltd (TW:6452) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.95% or 28.50 to 258.00. Shares in ChipMOS Technologies (TW:8150) fell to all time lows; falling 9.62% or 2.15 to 20.20. Shares in Chilisin Electronics Corp (TW:2456) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.54% or 7.50 to 71.10.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.10% or 0.07 to $67.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $77.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1228.20 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.15% to 30.962, while TWD/CNY rose 0.09% to 0.2248.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 96.48.
