Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Trading & Consumer Goods, Oil, Gas & Electricity and Textile sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd (TW:2424), which rose 9.78% or 2.65 points to trade at 29.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Sumagh High Tech Corp (TW:1475) added 8.10% or 0.85 points to end at 11.35 and Sincere Navigation Corp (TW:2605) was up 7.98% or 1.30 points to 17.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sesoda Corp (TW:1708), which fell 9.96% or 2.70 points to trade at 24.40 at the close. Hiyes International Co Ltd (TW:2348) declined 9.96% or 5.10 points to end at 46.10 and Shin Tai Industry Co Ltd (TW:1235) was down 9.92% or 4.15 points to 37.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 492 to 330 and 92 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sesoda Corp (TW:1708) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.96% or 2.70 to 24.40.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.66% or 0.49 to $74.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.57% or 0.48 to hit $84.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.40 to trade at $1193.00 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.03% to 30.965, while TWD/CNY fell 0.27% to 0.2236.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.53.
