Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Financial Services & Real Estate and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 1.26% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which rose 0.63% or 0.075 points to trade at 11.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) added 0.22% or 0.014 points to end at 6.286 and Indra A (MC:IDR) was up 0.19% or 0.020 points to 10.470 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which fell 4.60% or 1.200 points to trade at 24.900 at the close. Acerinox (MC:ACX) declined 3.20% or 0.395 points to end at 11.950 and Bankinter (MC:BKT) was down 2.63% or 0.204 points to 7.552.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 130 to 32 and 15 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.37% or 16.50 to $1184.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.39% or 2.27 to hit $64.77 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.44% or 1.77 to trade at $70.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1342, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 96.62.
