Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL), which rose 1.33% or 0.120 points to trade at 9.145 at the close. Meanwhile, Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) added 0.64% or 0.160 points to end at 25.240 and Red Electrica Corporacion SA (MC:REE) was up 0.58% or 0.105 points to 18.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which fell 3.04% or 0.855 points to trade at 27.250 at the close. BBVA (MC:BBVA) declined 2.80% or 0.174 points to end at 6.050 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) was down 2.06% or 0.255 points to 12.120.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 114 to 55 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.60 to $1223.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.02% or 1.37 to hit $69.03 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.41% or 1.02 to trade at $73.41 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.1615, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.8909.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 94.80.
