Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Repsol (MC:REP), which rose 1.82% or 0.300 points to trade at 16.780 at the close. Meanwhile, Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) added 1.41% or 1.100 points to end at 79.360 and Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) was up 0.58% or 0.011 points to 2.002 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grifols SA (MC:GRLS), which fell 2.09% or 0.510 points to trade at 23.890 at the close. Banco Santander (MC:SAN) declined 2.05% or 0.093 points to end at 4.479 and Inditex (MC:ITX) was down 1.87% or 0.510 points to 26.740.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 107 to 61 and 26 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.32% or 3.90 to $1205.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.16% or 1.53 to hit $72.31 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.75% or 2.15 to trade at $80.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1770, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8969.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 93.69.
