Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Abertis Infr (MC:ABE), which rose 1.03% or 0.180 points to trade at 17.650 at the close. Meanwhile, Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) added 1.00% or 0.260 points to end at 26.155 and ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) was up 0.77% or 0.240 points to 31.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which fell 6.30% or 0.790 points to trade at 11.740 at the close. B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) declined 2.80% or 0.047 points to end at 1.634 and BBVA (MC:BBVA) was down 1.75% or 0.128 points to 7.204.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 105 to 73 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Abertis Infr (MC:ABE) rose to all time highs; up 1.03% or 0.180 to 17.650.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 1.48 to $1306.08 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.82% or 0.42 to hit $51.87 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.05% or 0.60 to trade at $57.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.1809, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8889.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 92.99.
