Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG), which rose 1.03% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) added 0.61% or 0.06 points to end at 9.85 and Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) was up 0.45% or 0.09 points to 18.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fluidra (BME:FLUI), which fell 2.08% or 0.48 points to trade at 22.56 at the close. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) declined 2.02% or 0.19 points to end at 9.10 and Merlin Properties SA (BME:MRL) was down 1.79% or 0.20 points to 10.97.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 119 to 82 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.03% or 0.03 to 2.56.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.56% or 15.10 to $2,706.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $70.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.09% or 0.07 to trade at $74.15 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.39% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 103.62.
