Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Aena SME SA (MC:AENA), which rose 1.62% or 2.30 points to trade at 144.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Acciona (MC:ANA) added 1.43% or 1.080 points to end at 76.840 and Viscofan (MC:VIS) was up 1.20% or 0.750 points to 63.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which fell 4.00% or 1.075 points to trade at 25.800 at the close. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) declined 3.46% or 0.350 points to end at 9.780 and Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA) was down 3.42% or 0.900 points to 25.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 118 to 51 and 25 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.27% or 3.20 to $1204.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.39% or 0.29 to hit $74.62 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.09 to trade at $84.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1511, while EUR/GBP fell 0.59% to 0.8790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 95.38.
