Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Ferrovial (MC:FER), which rose 0.39% or 0.070 points to trade at 17.860 at the close. Meanwhile, Mapfre (MC:MAP) added 0.39% or 0.010 points to end at 2.555 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 0.36% or 0.08 points to 22.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indra A (MC:IDR), which fell 5.54% or 0.475 points to trade at 8.105 at the close. Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) declined 2.80% or 0.630 points to end at 21.850 and ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) was down 2.34% or 0.520 points to 21.730.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 113 to 55 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Indra A (MC:IDR) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.54% or 0.475 to 8.105. Shares in Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.80% or 0.630 to 21.850.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 2.80 to $1203.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.03% or 0.62 to hit $60.81 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.21% or 0.85 to trade at $71.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.79% to 1.1246, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8751.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 97.34.
