Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which rose 2.97% or 0.760 points to trade at 26.345 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 2.21% or 0.555 points to end at 25.700 and Indra A (MC:IDR) was up 1.58% or 0.210 points to 13.495 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5), which fell 3.82% or 0.358 points to trade at 9.007 at the close. Ferrovial (MC:FER) declined 2.33% or 0.430 points to end at 18.020 and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) was down 2.31% or 0.260 points to 11.015.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 100 to 67 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.82% or 0.358 to 9.007.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 2.69 to $1283.19 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $51.88 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.52% or 0.30 to trade at $57.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1755, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8907.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.72.
