Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS), which rose 2.36% or 0.26 points to trade at 11.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) added 1.24% or 0.43 points to end at 35.16 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) was up 1.07% or 0.22 points to 20.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb), which fell 3.08% or 0.77 points to trade at 24.24 at the close. Fluidra (BME:FLUI) declined 2.92% or 0.64 points to end at 21.28 and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) was down 2.48% or 0.23 points to 9.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 142 to 57 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.10% or 2.60 to $2,525.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.88% or 0.62 to hit $69.72 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.77% or 0.57 to trade at $73.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 101.33.
