Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which rose 1.41% or 0.900 points to trade at 64.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Acciona (MC:ANA) added 0.87% or 0.580 points to end at 67.420 and Bankinter (MC:BKT) was up 0.72% or 0.066 points to 9.214 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL), which fell 3.42% or 0.340 points to trade at 9.610 at the close. Indra A (MC:IDR) declined 3.16% or 0.360 points to end at 11.040 and Telefonica (MC:TEF) was down 2.27% or 0.187 points to 8.052.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 116 to 69 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) rose to all time highs; rising 1.41% or 0.900 to 64.700.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.97% or 26.00 to $1292.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $70.86 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.86% or 0.67 to trade at $78.90 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.1873, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8781.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 92.94.
