Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financial Services & Real Estate and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Repsol (BME:REP), which rose 0.72% or 0.11 points to trade at 14.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY) added 0.65% or 0.16 points to end at 24.86 and Endesa SA (BME:ELE) was up 0.60% or 0.11 points to 18.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grifols SA (BME:GRLS), which fell 2.46% or 0.23 points to trade at 9.12 at the close. Aena SME SA (BME:AENA) declined 1.95% or 3.60 points to end at 181.10 and ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS) was down 1.55% or 0.64 points to 40.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 131 to 75 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.09% or 2.20 to $2,327.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.42% or 1.83 to hit $77.36 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.16% or 1.72 to trade at $81.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 104.80.
