Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financial Services & Real Estate and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.41% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which rose 1.64% or 0.205 points to trade at 12.695 at the close. Meanwhile, Viscofan (MC:VIS) added 1.21% or 0.750 points to end at 62.750 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 0.91% or 0.20 points to 22.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aena SME SA (MC:AENA), which fell 3.76% or 5.55 points to trade at 142.05 at the close. Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) declined 2.63% or 0.050 points to end at 1.851 and Bankinter (MC:BKT) was down 1.80% or 0.140 points to 7.628.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 94 to 72 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aena SME SA (MC:AENA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.76% or 5.55 to 142.05.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.26% or 3.10 to $1201.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.77% or 0.52 to hit $67.25 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.33 to trade at $76.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.1559, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 95.35.
