Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), which rose 2.82% or 0.55 points to trade at 20.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Fluidra (BME:FLUI) added 2.55% or 0.64 points to end at 25.76 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL) was up 1.86% or 0.10 points to 5.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb), which fell 3.51% or 0.69 points to trade at 18.99 at the close. Mapfre (BME:MAP) declined 1.65% or 0.04 points to end at 2.51 and Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) was down 1.21% or 0.11 points to 8.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 114 to 67 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fluidra (BME:FLUI) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.55% or 0.64 to 25.76.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.48% or 12.61 to $2,661.01 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.24% or 0.85 to hit $67.45 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.08% or 0.78 to trade at $71.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 105.99.
