Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Building & Construction and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Telefonica (BME:TEF), which rose 0.40% or 0.02 points to trade at 4.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena SME SA (BME:AENA) added 0.29% or 0.50 points to end at 171.50 and Bankinter (BME:BKT) was up 0.25% or 0.02 points to 7.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS), which fell 2.06% or 0.23 points to trade at 10.95 at the close. Indra A (BME:IDR) declined 2.05% or 0.35 points to end at 16.70 and Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) was down 1.73% or 0.59 points to 33.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 150 to 45 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.14% or 27.75 to $2,460.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.85% or 0.64 to hit $75.87 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.38 to trade at $78.71 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.07.
