Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Goods and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Robot (MC:RBT), which rose 9.24% or 0.55 points to trade at 6.50 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 1.20% or 0.315 points to end at 26.500 and Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) was up 0.73% or 0.190 points to 26.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which fell 2.53% or 0.096 points to trade at 3.702 at the close. Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) declined 2.02% or 0.188 points to end at 9.110 and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) was down 1.78% or 0.225 points to 12.420.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 108 to 73 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Robot (MC:RBT) rose to all time highs; up 9.24% or 0.55 to 6.50. Shares in Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.53% or 0.096 to 3.702.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.50% or 6.60 to $1327.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.35% or 0.83 to hit $60.53 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.69% or 0.45 to trade at $64.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.2400, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8870.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 89.63.
