Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.32% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS), which rose 2.60% or 0.50 points to trade at 19.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) added 2.57% or 0.22 points to end at 8.70 and Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) was up 1.45% or 0.34 points to 23.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX), which fell 1.28% or 0.43 points to trade at 33.28 at the close. Telefonica (BME:TEF) declined 1.04% or 0.04 points to end at 4.00 and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) was down 0.85% or 0.07 points to 8.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 123 to 75 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.69% or 16.90 to $2,427.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.96% or 0.70 to hit $73.64 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.81% or 0.62 to trade at $76.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 102.81.
