Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:SGREN), which rose 14.12% or 1.395 points to trade at 11.277 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) added 4.69% or 0.288 points to end at 6.434 and Naturgy Energy Group SA (MC:GAS) was up 2.74% or 0.600 points to 22.470 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which fell 7.05% or 0.058 points to trade at 0.764 at the close. Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) declined 1.88% or 0.440 points to end at 23.010 and Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) was down 1.48% or 0.380 points to 25.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 89 to 79 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.15% or 1.80 to $1228.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.35% or 1.48 to hit $61.62 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.20% or 1.61 to trade at $71.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1424, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.8726.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 96.06.
