Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which rose 1.92% or 0.670 points to trade at 35.550 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena SME SA (MC:AENA) added 1.59% or 2.30 points to end at 147.05 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 0.70% or 0.17 points to 24.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which fell 4.71% or 0.936 points to trade at 18.930 at the close. Acerinox (MC:ACX) declined 2.67% or 0.250 points to end at 9.120 and Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) was down 2.58% or 0.066 points to 2.490.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 88 to 87 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.00% or 0.05 to $1282.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.65% or 1.43 to hit $52.61 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 2.68% or 1.68 to trade at $61.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.01% to 1.1365, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.8765.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 95.928.
