Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Inditex (MC:ITX), which rose 3.53% or 1.020 points to trade at 29.940 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) added 2.04% or 0.162 points to end at 8.092 and Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) was up 1.90% or 1.340 points to 71.780 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrovial (MC:FER), which fell 1.94% or 0.360 points to trade at 18.150 at the close. ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) declined 1.60% or 0.590 points to end at 36.240 and BBVA (MC:BBVA) was down 1.45% or 0.090 points to 6.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 109 to 75 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.04% or 0.162 to 8.092. Shares in Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) rose to all time highs; rising 1.90% or 1.340 to 71.780.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.21% or 2.70 to $1302.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $66.56 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.50 to trade at $76.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.1787, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.58.
