Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.13% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (BME:GRLS), which rose 2.21% or 0.24 points to trade at 10.85 at the close. Meanwhile, SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) added 2.02% or 0.19 points to end at 9.85 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL) was up 1.64% or 0.09 points to 5.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX), which fell 2.43% or 0.79 points to trade at 31.68 at the close. Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) declined 1.82% or 0.36 points to end at 19.10 and ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS) was down 1.62% or 0.68 points to 41.36.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 115 to 77 and 26 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.61% or 16.00 to $2,590.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.35% or 0.24 to hit $68.36 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.40% or 0.29 to trade at $72.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 106.31.
