Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (MC:GRLS), which rose 1.16% or 0.290 points to trade at 25.340 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena SME SA (MC:AENA) added 0.87% or 1.55 points to end at 179.05 and Endesa (MC:ELE) was up 0.77% or 0.150 points to 19.610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which fell 3.39% or 0.900 points to trade at 25.670 at the close. Ferrovial (MC:FER) declined 1.84% or 0.330 points to end at 17.640 and Telefonica (MC:TEF) was down 1.31% or 0.109 points to 8.239.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 89 to 88 and 30 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.08% or 1.10 to $1319.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.38% or 0.27 to hit $70.97 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.17% or 0.90 to trade at $78.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.1974, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 92.25.
