Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 1.40%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Acciona (BME:ANA), which rose 3.03% or 3.60 points to trade at 122.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE) added 2.72% or 0.05 points to end at 1.91 and Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) was up 2.57% or 0.22 points to 8.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indra A (BME:IDR), which fell 0.36% or 0.06 points to trade at 16.46 at the close. Enagas (BME:ENAG) added 0.29% or 0.04 points to end at 13.66 and Repsol (BME:REP) was up 0.39% or 0.05 points to 12.84.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 151 to 43 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.24% or 6.15 to $2,543.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.85% or 1.40 to hit $74.14 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.87% or 1.49 to trade at $78.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 101.79.
