Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which rose 5.28% or 2.105 points to trade at 41.995 at the close. Meanwhile, Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS) added 5.19% or 0.284 points to end at 5.754 and Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) was up 4.51% or 0.097 points to 2.247 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Viscofan (MC:VIS), which fell 7.98% or 4.150 points to trade at 47.850 at the close. Acciona (MC:ANA) declined 2.02% or 1.360 points to end at 66.070 and ACS Const. (MC:ACS) was down 1.97% or 0.515 points to 25.650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 135 to 60 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.28% or 2.105 to 41.995.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.01% or 13.55 to $1354.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.24% or 0.10 to hit $41.24 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.06 to trade at $43.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.79% to 1.1164, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8429.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.12% at 95.61.
