Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (BME:GRLS), which rose 3.92% or 0.43 points to trade at 11.28 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS) added 3.80% or 0.86 points to end at 23.48 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE) was up 3.43% or 0.63 points to 19.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fluidra (BME:FLUI), which fell 1.07% or 0.26 points to trade at 24.10 at the close. Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) declined 0.46% or 0.30 points to end at 65.10 and Logista (BME:LOG) was down 0.27% or 0.08 points to 29.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 132 to 59 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.26% or 6.70 to $2,579.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.22% or 0.15 to hit $68.58 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.25% or 0.18 to trade at $72.46 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 106.50.
