Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (MC:GRLS), which rose 9.56% or 2.235 points to trade at 25.615 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 4.02% or 0.855 points to end at 22.125 and Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA) was up 3.28% or 0.720 points to 22.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bankia SA (MC:BKIA), which fell 2.97% or 0.083 points to trade at 2.716 at the close. Acerinox (MC:ACX) declined 1.37% or 0.139 points to end at 9.996 and Ferrovial (MC:FER) was down 1.37% or 0.245 points to 17.655.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 127 to 53 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.97% or 0.083 to 2.716. Shares in Acerinox (MC:ACX) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.37% or 0.139 to 9.996.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.14% or 1.70 to $1230.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.62% or 0.42 to hit $67.17 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.18 to trade at $77.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1383, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8891.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 96.40.
