Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.97%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA), which rose 3.19% or 0.29 points to trade at 9.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Acciona (BME:ANA) added 3.09% or 3.50 points to end at 116.70 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) was up 3.04% or 0.30 points to 10.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI), which fell 5.06% or 3.30 points to trade at 61.90 at the close. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) declined 1.51% or 0.17 points to end at 11.13 and Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) was down 1.03% or 0.33 points to 31.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 118 to 76 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 5.60 to $2,567.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.75% or 1.20 to hit $67.50 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.50% or 1.09 to trade at $71.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.52% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 106.52.
