Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX), which rose 2.75% or 0.92 points to trade at 34.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX) added 1.87% or 0.81 points to end at 44.22 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) was up 1.48% or 0.03 points to 1.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Acciona (BME:ANA), which fell 1.03% or 1.20 points to trade at 115.70 at the close. Endesa SA (BME:ELE) declined 0.67% or 0.12 points to end at 17.77 and Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) was down 0.57% or 0.05 points to 8.77.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 115 to 69 and 29 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 6.80 to $2,470.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.56% or 0.43 to hit $76.62 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.39% or 0.31 to trade at $79.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.90.
