Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were B. Sabadell (MC:SABE), which rose 3.02% or 0.049 points to trade at 1.655 at the close. Meanwhile, Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) added 2.42% or 0.099 points to end at 4.200 and ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) was up 1.86% or 0.550 points to 30.120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inditex (MC:ITX), which fell 1.02% or 0.280 points to trade at 27.300 at the close. Gas Natural (MC:GAS) declined 0.90% or 0.200 points to end at 22.020 and Melia Hotels (MC:MEL) was down 0.68% or 0.080 points to 11.720.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 112 to 70 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.09% or 1.20 to $1292.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.33% or 0.24 to hit $72.59 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.86% or 0.68 to trade at $79.90 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1784, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8772.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.47.
