Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which rose 2.54% or 0.242 points to trade at 9.788 at the close. Meanwhile, Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL) added 2.01% or 0.175 points to end at 8.875 and ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) was up 2.00% or 0.510 points to 26.040 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indra A (MC:IDR), which fell 1.34% or 0.125 points to trade at 9.225 at the close. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) declined 0.98% or 0.740 points to end at 74.620 and Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) was down 0.83% or 0.190 points to 22.750.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 111 to 69 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Indra A (MC:IDR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.34% or 0.125 to 9.225.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.24% or 2.80 to $1191.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.66% or 0.49 to hit $74.78 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.97% or 0.81 to trade at $84.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1485, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8741.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.43.
