Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Grifols SA (BME:GRLS), which rose 3.24% or 0.27 points to trade at 8.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:ITX) added 2.71% or 1.23 points to end at 46.59 and Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY) was up 0.97% or 0.22 points to 22.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL), which fell 1.10% or 0.06 points to trade at 5.41 at the close. Ferrovial (BME:FER) declined 0.93% or 0.34 points to end at 36.36 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) was down 0.89% or 0.10 points to 11.08.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 121 to 61 and 30 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.62% or 40.30 to $2,532.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.56% or 1.22 to hit $76.94 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.37% or 1.11 to trade at $79.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 102.54.
