Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Acerinox (MC:ACX), which rose 4.70% or 0.535 points to trade at 11.930 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) added 2.77% or 0.600 points to end at 22.270 and Ferrovial (MC:FER) was up 2.66% or 0.490 points to 18.890 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Endesa (MC:ELE), which fell 1.20% or 0.245 points to trade at 20.260 at the close. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) declined 0.47% or 0.031 points to end at 6.510 and Inditex (MC:ITX) was down 0.36% or 0.120 points to 33.105.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 120 to 46 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.59 to $1315.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $46.48 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.39 to trade at $51.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.40% to 1.1924, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.9217.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 92.62.
