Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 2.75% or 0.750 points to trade at 28.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Indra A (MC:IDR) added 1.73% or 0.180 points to end at 10.570 and Mapfre (MC:MAP) was up 1.29% or 0.034 points to 2.673 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA), which fell 6.14% or 0.133 points to trade at 2.034 at the close. Viscofan (MC:VIS) declined 1.14% or 0.700 points to end at 60.500 and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM) was down 0.93% or 0.110 points to 11.720.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 106 to 57 and 29 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 2.40 to $1220.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.30% or 0.21 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.92% or 0.68 to trade at $74.43 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1592, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.8951.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 95.00.
