Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME:NTGY), which rose 1.55% or 0.36 points to trade at 23.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrovial (BME:FER) added 1.53% or 0.56 points to end at 37.10 and Banco Santander (BME:SAN) was up 1.53% or 0.07 points to 4.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX), which fell 1.85% or 0.67 points to trade at 35.63 at the close. Merlin Properties SA (BME:MRL) declined 1.61% or 0.18 points to end at 10.98 and Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME:ROVI) was down 1.50% or 1.10 points to 72.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 106 to 82 and 23 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.13% or 3.35 to $2,664.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.23% or 2.40 to hit $76.78 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.07% or 2.40 to trade at $80.45 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.23.
