Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Telecoms & IT and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which rose 7.62% or 2.075 points to trade at 29.305 at the close. Meanwhile, Indra A (MC:IDR) added 2.54% or 0.290 points to end at 11.730 and Telefonica (MC:TEF) was up 2.06% or 0.163 points to 8.065 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Abertis Infr (MC:ABE), which fell 3.97% or 0.770 points to trade at 18.630 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) declined 1.34% or 0.360 points to end at 26.570 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) was down 0.82% or 0.100 points to 12.130.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 97 to 79 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.48% or 6.40 to $1321.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.19% or 0.73 to hit $60.42 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.85% or 0.55 to trade at $63.79 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.77% to 1.2315, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8915.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 90.11.
