Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Acerinox (MC:ACX), which rose 2.39% or 0.270 points to trade at 11.560 at the close. Meanwhile, Indra A (MC:IDR) added 2.13% or 0.270 points to end at 12.935 and Merlin Properties SA (MC:MRL) was up 1.69% or 0.20 points to 11.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which fell 1.15% or 0.330 points to trade at 28.440 at the close. Abertis Infr (MC:ABE) declined 0.45% or 0.075 points to end at 16.710 and Endesa (MC:ELE) was down 0.43% or 0.090 points to 20.585.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 116 to 45 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Merlin Properties SA (MC:MRL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.69% or 0.20 to 11.72.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.33% or 4.30 to $1292.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.88% or 0.42 to hit $47.95 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.72% or 0.37 to trade at $52.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1767, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.9168.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 93.36.
