Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 3.92% or 1.015 points to trade at 26.920 at the close. Meanwhile, Bankinter (MC:BKT) added 2.86% or 0.226 points to end at 8.126 and Bankia SA (MC:BKIA) was up 2.32% or 0.080 points to 3.534 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which fell 4.29% or 1.190 points to trade at 26.530 at the close. Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) declined 2.07% or 0.47 points to end at 22.23 and Aena SME SA (MC:AENA) was down 1.99% or 2.95 points to 145.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 89 to 86 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.48% or 5.80 to $1208.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.14% or 0.79 to hit $70.38 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.19 to trade at $79.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1685, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8876.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 94.06.
