Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Building & Construction and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which rose 10.89% or 2.965 points to trade at 30.195 at the close. Meanwhile, Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) added 2.74% or 1.640 points to end at 61.540 and Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) was up 1.82% or 0.068 points to 3.810 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL), which fell 1.33% or 0.120 points to trade at 8.900 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) declined 0.83% or 0.220 points to end at 26.360 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) was down 0.62% or 0.044 points to 7.012.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 117 to 63 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.23% or 3.00 to $1324.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.76% or 1.66 to hit $61.78 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.47% or 1.57 to trade at $65.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.2323, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8893.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 90.02.
