Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS), which rose 2.62% or 0.22 points to trade at 8.41 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) added 2.20% or 0.08 points to end at 3.67 and Logista (BME:LOG) was up 1.84% or 0.52 points to 28.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX), which fell 1.55% or 0.48 points to trade at 30.49 at the close. Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) declined 1.19% or 0.12 points to end at 9.65 and Enagas (BME:ENAG) was down 1.06% or 0.13 points to 12.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 107 to 77 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.20% or 0.08 to 3.67. Shares in Enagas (BME:ENAG) fell to 5-year lows; falling 1.06% or 0.13 to 12.10.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.35% or 9.39 to $2,652.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.68% or 0.48 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.07% or 0.78 to trade at $73.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 106.86.
