Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS), which rose 3.29% or 0.845 points to trade at 26.540 at the close. Meanwhile, Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) added 2.20% or 0.046 points to end at 2.139 and Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) was up 2.06% or 1.500 points to 74.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enagas (MC:ENAG), which fell 1.93% or 0.470 points to trade at 23.900 at the close. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) declined 0.97% or 0.250 points to end at 25.420 and Red Electrica Corporacion SA (MC:REE) was down 0.74% or 0.135 points to 18.040.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 96 to 87 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.06% or 1.500 to 74.400.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.06% or 0.70 to $1226.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.33% or 0.22 to hit $67.38 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.54 to trade at $72.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1660, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.74.
