Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Caixabank SA (MC:CABK), which rose 3.32% or 0.119 points to trade at 3.710 at the close. Meanwhile, BBVA (MC:BBVA) added 1.81% or 0.108 points to end at 6.074 and B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) was up 1.74% or 0.025 points to 1.435 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5), which fell 6.61% or 0.512 points to trade at 7.230 at the close. Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA) declined 3.36% or 0.880 points to end at 25.280 and Inditex (MC:ITX) was down 0.71% or 0.210 points to 29.260.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 104 to 73 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.61% or 0.512 to 7.230.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.27% or 3.40 to $1254.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.94% or 0.69 to hit $74.14 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.93% or 1.50 to trade at $79.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.94% to 1.1677, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8848.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 94.28.
