Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Building & Construction and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG), which rose 4.06% or 0.294 points to trade at 7.530 at the close. Meanwhile, Gas Natural (MC:GAS) added 3.48% or 0.670 points to end at 19.920 and ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) was up 3.30% or 0.895 points to 27.990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Red Electrica Corporacion SA (MC:REE), which fell 1.42% or 0.265 points to trade at 18.445 at the close. ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) declined 1.12% or 0.365 points to end at 32.260 and Iberdrola (MC:IBE) was down 0.88% or 0.057 points to 6.403.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 130 to 50 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.30% or 0.895 to 27.990.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.31% or 4.00 to $1313.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.18% or 0.11 to hit $60.31 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.52% or 0.35 to trade at $66.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.2049, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8864.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 91.60.
