Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Bankinter (MC:BKT), which rose 5.26% or 0.456 points to trade at 9.132 at the close. Meanwhile, Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) added 2.97% or 0.128 points to end at 4.440 and B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) was up 1.64% or 0.031 points to 1.925 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which fell 3.50% or 0.450 points to trade at 12.400 at the close. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) declined 2.44% or 0.182 points to end at 7.282 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was down 2.35% or 0.53 points to 22.04.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 104 to 70 and 18 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.32% or 4.30 to $1360.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.38% or 0.25 to hit $65.86 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.45% or 0.32 to trade at $70.85 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.60% to 1.2484, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 88.58.
