Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.27% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG), which rose 3.80% or 0.292 points to trade at 7.986 at the close. Meanwhile, Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) added 2.97% or 0.720 points to end at 24.990 and B. Sabadell (MC:SABE) was up 1.61% or 0.027 points to 1.703 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Red Electrica Corporacion SA (MC:REE), which fell 0.80% or 0.140 points to trade at 17.375 at the close. Repsol (MC:REP) declined 0.71% or 0.115 points to end at 16.130 and Enagas (MC:ENAG) was down 0.66% or 0.160 points to 24.190.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 94 to 90 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.80% or 0.292 to 7.986.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.03% or 0.40 to $1314.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.77% or 1.96 to hit $68.77 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.23% or 1.70 to trade at $74.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1885, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 92.83.
